She was born around the year 1834 in Jefferson County New York. She got married 1855( found on 1855 Census of Ellisburg Jefferson Co) in ?Redwood? Jefferson County NY or in Redwood Minnesota to a Burton Gallea (son of James & Polly Gallea)., Burton Gallea was born in 1833 also of NY and died 4/10/1922 in Wisconsin. Melissa died 1882 in Medina, Outagamie Co., Wisconsin and is buried in Greenville Cemetery. They had five known children:
