- The 1964 Markuson Genealogy indicates that: "Nels bought grain for
Olson & Cox at Hannaford, North Dakota, for about 25 years. He then
moved to Montana where he owned garage and Ford agencies and was part
owner in Banks at Dooley and Plentywood, Montana. He later was Deputy
Sheriff at Plentywood". The genealogy indicates that he first married
May Olson and then later married Anna Nelson, who had died by 1964.
Unfortunately, it is not listed which of the wives were mothers to which
of the four children.
